Barry Forbes, aka Up Digital, carries within his very core the true and genuine love and passion for electronic music. Influenced early on as a youngster via the likes of Kraftwerk, he began to attend events in his teenage years, and during the 90s began to arrange and promote a club night in Glasgow called, "Seventh City", which focused on the glowing music of Detroit, Sheffield, and Eindhoven.

A few of his influences are deeply rooted in the likes of Autechre, Carl Finlow, Speedy J and Drexciya. Barry's thirst for quality new
music is as undying as his love for classic material of days gone by, but still very alive within him. His sets as Up Digital, which was birthed in 2010, focuses on experimental Electro flavours which carry a healthy Techno influenced corona.

Barry currently operates and promotes Glasgow's club night Dum Dum, and has hosted in recent times the likes of The Hidden Persuader, and DeFeKT. His radio show on Future Music began in June of 2011, and he now also shares a rotating slot on the show EEM on Melbourne's "Radio Valerie", alongside
Somfay, and Sense. Keep an eye and ear out for Up Digital throughout 2012 where Barry shall be producing his own music and will be available for bookings.

His production style has been well-received on both sides of the pond, and landed him a spot on Loxy & Ink's HORSEMEN collective, aligning him with a superb stable of producers.

Since becoming a laptop/ Ableton DJ the task of me converting all my vinyl to MP3 has had to be started.
Knowing that it will take far too long to convert everything I have chosen to convert my favourite 30 tracks from each genre of dance music I have played and then throw them into a mix.

Starting at the beginning I have mixed up my favourite Hardcore Jungle Techno tracks from 91-93.

However this is no ordinary Old Skool Hardcore mix as I got carried away and an additional 38 tracks/ samples have been layered onto the mix which makes a total of 68 tracks used in the 73 minute mix

2009 saw Morcee break through onto the J-Tek scene with the track "Z Domain", gaining Number 1 status on "Pilgrims Top 10 Dubs" (oldskoolreview.co.uk) for September. His first J-Tek release ''B.O.B'' came out on the 3 Roots Audio label on February 2010 and received great reviews.

J K Rampage (or J K Ramps) is known among is friends as the first, who got into the whole underground music scene way back in 1990, listening to Drum&Bass, Techno and house. Later on he started producing his own beats. His been on the J-Tek scene for quite a while and his tracks have been featured in the number of J – Tek radio shows. 3 Roots Audio is proud to be the first to sign his work and present ''Enter the sound'' – his debut release.

''Cabin Fever'' as well as ''Enter the Sound'' are deep and uncompromisable tracks. You can either love them or hate them. If you are crazy about the Nu Rave vibes you gonna love them and therefore you must have them.

Back in 2005 a compilation album called “We’re not Dead” was released on spearheading label, Warehouse Wax. It is now widely regarded as being a milestone in the rise of the genre known as Hardcore Breaks and received rave reviews in DJ Mag, Mixmag and Knowledge amongst others. It brought together some legendary names from the OldSkool UK hardcore scene like Nebula 2, Phuture Assassin, Austin, Orca and Sub Love. It fused them with enthusiastic new artists like Vinyl Junkie, Whizzkick, Darkus, D’state and Storm & Euphony and vowed that its mission was to reinstate the sound of 1992 hardcore to its former glory.

2010, five years down the line and with the genre still going strong and untold amounts of young enthusiastic artists bashing away in their bedroom studios, Warehouse Wax thought it was time for a sequel. So here it is: WE’RE STILL NOT DEAD.

Nebula 2 are back with the awesome “Kin Hardcore” which is dedicated to the London event of the same name, Austin also returns with the brilliantly moody “Suicide” and Phuture Assassin has been remixed and brought into 2010 by the hugely talented J-Tek supremo, Madcap. Also brought out of retirement for this project, one of the men behind the 92–93 Hardcorelabel: “Flyte Records”, Boykz.

Early Drum & Bass legend, of Urban Takeover fame, the man like Mulder, makes his first appearance on Warehouse Wax with the brilliant J-Tek / Hardcore Breaks crossover “Code Blue”. Also gracing Warehouse Wax for the first time, a geezer who has been there from day dot and has now really established his own sound and a massive underground following, the hugely talented Simon Holmes.

Owner of Warehouse Wax, Vinyl Junkie and Germanys main men, Whizzkick are both back in the place, each of them showcasing their own particular brand of Hardcore Breaks superbly. Stu & Nee, Lethal Formula and Wax’s main artist over the last few years, E-Lab Rat, are all present and accounted for. All the way from Australia comes the sounds of The Upstarts and last but by no means least, from America and representing the Ravebreaks fraternity is Simon Apex.

Here we are with our 4th interview already with no one else then the brains adfter Spearhead Records and Future Retro, Mister BCee, hailing from Norwich, U.K .

With his forthcoming release on Influenza Media with his track " Out In The Cold " 1st Of June 2009 and "Generations EP " coming out on Spearhead, we thought it's time to highlight the man from Norwich with an interview + an exclusive podcastmix.

Hey mister Steve (BCee) and thanks for doing this exclusive interview with us.

So,tell us who you are and where your from exactly?

I am Steve Jeffery aka BCee hailing from a little town called Diss near Norwich, Norfolk.

When and how was the first real contact with music? Any musical background before you started producing?

I have always played around with music for as long as I can remember. I've never actually played an instrument but can read music, and was playing about with making sounds since having a ZX Spectrum with rubber keys that they bought out a REALLY basic sampler thing for in about 85.

Your first release is dated back from 2002 with Kubiks on Rubik Records with " Life Changes/Funktional ".Did your style changed a lot since then?

I don't actually think my style has changed much at all. I've always been about bringing uplifting or emotional sounding music.

You also running Spearhead Recordings and sublabel Future Retro since 2005.With releases with the finest heads around these days you got yourself established in the scene.What else can we expect in the near future on both labels?

Up next for Spearhead Records is my debut solo EP 'Generations' and that is followed by the second in the Moodswings series.

You have been collabin with Lomax alot past years.I noticed u started doing solo projects again the past months.Any particular reasons?Can we expect more collabs with Lomax or any other producers soon?And what,when and where can we expect 100% pure BCee tracks soon?

My debut solo EP is about to drop on Spearhead Records. Me and Lomax have been in the studio together this week and are working on something new which will hopefully turn into a full vocal track if it all goes to plan. I will also be doing more tracks with S.P.Y.

So,how does the productionstudio looks like and what do you guys use to produce the tunage?

MacBookPro, Reason rewired to Logic. That's it!

Except producing your also a dj?Did producing your own beats influenced the tunes your playing on gigs the past years?

I think it's more the other way around for me. The sort of tracks that I am playing and finding that go well on the dance floor influence me in the studio.
