Alegria - Its summer,so cheer up emo kid mix

another crackin DnB mix, this time straight outta Poland mixed by Alegria

Alegria says "
This time I decided to choose the tracks beforehand for a change (instead of being all spontaneous like always). I tried my best to make the track fit one another and for them to fit the overall vision of how the mix should look like. If you heard my previous recordings, then you should already know what kind of style I'm into and whether you should download this on sight or steer clear from me. Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I'm proud to bring you my best mix to date"

Methodus - A Natural Selection

Here is a deadly mix i downloaded todaay by Methodus from Bassdrive ... enjoy :)

Methodus said "Keeping with tradition it's time for my newest Summer mix. This will be the 4th installment in the series.

The mix is called Natural Selection. It's based on the progression I've seen in drum & bass recently, as well as the fact this mix was totally unplanned and simply came together naturally.

Special thanks to Eric of Fusion for hooking me up with some studio time to record this thing properly. Big thanks sir.

Also have to commend the brilliant producers known and upcoming alike. You all deserve a spot on this mix and have truly made me keep believing in dnb.

So here it is folks. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the natural selection"

BCee - Influenza Interview + Podcast Part 4

The latest Influenza Media podcast supplys us with a crackin mix from Spearhead Records main man BCee and an interview which you can also check out below...enjoy :)

Here we are with our 4th interview already with no one else then the brains adfter Spearhead Records and Future Retro, Mister BCee, hailing from Norwich, U.K .

With his forthcoming release on Influenza Media with his track " Out In The Cold " 1st Of June 2009 and "Generations EP " coming out on Spearhead, we thought it's time to highlight the man from Norwich with an interview + an exclusive podcastmix.

Hey mister Steve (BCee) and thanks for doing this exclusive interview with us.

So,tell us who you are and where your from exactly?

I am Steve Jeffery aka BCee hailing from a little town called Diss near Norwich, Norfolk.

When and how was the first real contact with music? Any musical background before you started producing?

I have always played around with music for as long as I can remember. I've never actually played an instrument but can read music, and was playing about with making sounds since having a ZX Spectrum with rubber keys that they bought out a REALLY basic sampler thing for in about 85.

Your first release is dated back from 2002 with Kubiks on Rubik Records with " Life Changes/Funktional ".Did your style changed a lot since then?

I don't actually think my style has changed much at all. I've always been about bringing uplifting or emotional sounding music.

You also running Spearhead Recordings and sublabel Future Retro since 2005.With releases with the finest heads around these days you got yourself established in the scene. What else can we expect in the near future on both labels?

Up next for Spearhead Records is my debut solo EP 'Generations' and that is followed by the second in the Moodswings series.

You have been collabin with Lomax alot past years.I noticed u started doing solo projects again the past months.Any particular reasons? Can we expect more collabs with Lomax or any other producers soon? And what, when and where can we expect 100% pure BCee tracks soon?

My debut solo EP is about to drop on Spearhead Records. Me and Lomax have been in the studio together this week and are working on something new which will hopefully turn into a full vocal track if it all goes to plan. I will also be doing more tracks with S.P.Y.

So,how does the productionstudio looks like and what do you guys use to produce the tunage?

MacBookPro, Reason rewired to Logic. That's it!

Except producing your also a dj?Did producing your own beats influenced the tunes your playing on gigs the past years?

I think it's more the other way around for me. The sort of tracks that I am playing and finding that go well on the dance floor influence me in the studio.

Can we get a current top 10 from you?
1) Lomax - Eden - Dub
2) BCee - Consumed (Logistics Remix) - Spearhead
3) Calibre - All The Days - Signature
4) S.P.Y - Sunshine - Spearhead
5) Total Science - Soul Patrol (Lenzman Remix) - C.I.A.
6) Random Movement & Mixmaster DOC - Rattled System - Integral
7) London Elektricity - Just One Second (Apex Remix) - Hospital
8) Logistics - Murderation - Hospital
9) Redeyes feat. Grimm - Out Of My Head - Spearhead
10) BCee - Generations (S.P.Y Remix) - Spearhead

And some last words for the fans?
Thanks for all the support. If all goes to plan there will be a BCee album coming in 2010! Watch this space.

thanks Steve for this interview and keep up the good work!
We will keep our eyes open for more tunes!!!
